SFPD: No crash reports from 41st Street diverging diamond - KELOLAND 8/7/2024

SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — The diverging diamond on 41st Street is over a month old and the learning curve hasn’t resulted in any reported crashes, according to officals.

The diverging diamond sought to eliminate the need for left-hand turning movements and to make it where you don’t have to cross through traffic any more. If officially completed at a ribbon cutting July 2. 

Drivers have been using the new diverging diamond at the intersection of Interstate 29 and 41st Street for over a month now. According to Sioux Falls police, the new diamond has zero reported crashes at that intersection.
