Chip Seal and Fog Seal Projects Scheduled for Sioux Falls Area

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says chip seal and fog seal applications will be applied to several highways in the Sioux Falls area of the state. The chip seal will begin on Monday, July 25, 2022.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says that due to constructability issues with the traffic diversions, S.D. Highway 46 will be closed to through traffic on approximately Thursday, July 21, 2022. This is a process change from previously released information.
Foam Jacking Projects Scheduled for Southwest South Dakota (1)

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says crews are scheduled to begin foam jacking projects at various locations throughout southwestern South Dakota.
Chip Seal and Fog Seal Projects Scheduled to Begin in Hughes, Stanley, and Sully Counties

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says chip seal and fog seal projects are scheduled to begin on S.D. Highway 204 and S.D. Highway 1804 in the Pierre Area. Crews will begin chip seal and fog seal projects on Monday, July 18, 2022. The project length is approximately two miles on Highway 204 and 31 miles on Highway 1804, beginning at mile marker 251.
Local Road Closures Planned in Brookings as part of Interchange Project on Interstate 29

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says that the contractor for the Brookings Municipal Utilities (BMU) watermain utility project, being constructed simultaneously with the 20th Street Interchange on Interstate 29, will initiate a 30-day closure at the intersection of 34th Avenue and 20th Street South beginning on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
