S.D. Highway 87 to be Closed Through Portions of Wind Cave National Park
August 12, 2021
According to Wind Cave National Park, S.D. Highway 87 will be closed starting on Aug. 16, 2021, through Oct. 12, 2021, due to maintenance on the Beaver Creek Arch Bridge (mile marker 41.3) and the Pigtail Bridge (mile marker 43.0).
Asphalt Paving to Begin on U.S. Highway 14 from Highway 1804 East to One Mile West of U.S. 83 Junction

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says work will begin Friday, Aug. 13, on an asphalt resurfacing project on U.S. Highway 14 from approximately Highway 1804 east to one mile west of the junction of U.S. 14 and U.S. 83 (mile markers 230 to 245).

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says Foothills Contracting, Inc. will be closing U.S. Highway 83 on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, for the installation of pipe and to backfill over the additional sections of the box culvert.

Highway 1806 “Singing Bridge” Reopens to All Traffic

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says that permanent repairs to the “Singing Bridge” on S.D. Highway 1806 over the Grand River have been completed and the bridge has reopened to all traffic, as of Friday, July 30, 2021.
