CUSTER, S.D. – The traffic signals at both Crazy Horse Memorial and at Oreville Junction (Highway 16/244) in the Black Hills near Custer will once again become operational on Sunday, May 3.

These temporary traffic signals will be operational from May 3, 2020 to Nov. 1, 2020.

The signals were installed to ensure traffic delays in these areas are acceptable for normal traffic operations. During this period, traffic at these intersections is quite heavy causing delays for vehicles entering onto Highway 16/385.

For the safety of the traveling public, please be aware of this change.
