SDDOT to Post Emergency Vehicle Weight Limit Signage on Interstate System
April 26, 2021
The South Dakota Department of Transportation will be posting signs at 21 structures located on and directly adjacent to Interstates 90, 29, 229, and 190 due to a federal requirement. SDDOT says that new signage will be placed by April 30, 2021 to indicate the structures are now posted for Emergency Vehicle (EV) weight limits.
Interstate 29 Two-way Traffic to Begin

The South Dakota Department of Transportation says crews have begun construction on the northbound lanes of Interstate 29 from mile marker 224 at the Peever Exit to mile marker 239, north of Sisseton.
Median and Ramp Crossover Construction on I-90 to Begin Next Week

The South Dakota Department of Transportation says a project to remove an existing median crossover and construct new median and ramp crossovers will begin Monday, April 26, 2021.
SDDOT Seeks Public Input for Proposed Project to Reconstruct S.D. Highway 28 East of Lake Poinsett to Estelline

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will hold a virtual public meeting until May 19, 2021, to inform and obtain comments from area residents on the proposed project to reconstruct S.D. Highway 28 from 192nd Street east of Lake Poinsett to 1.2 miles west of Estelline.
S.D. Highway 50 Reconstruction East of Vermillion to Resume
April 21, 2021
During the week of April 26, 2021, the South Dakota Department of Transportation will resume work on S.D. Highway 50 from Interstate 29 to Vermillion.
